We have all started a new school year and are enjoying our teachers!

I have a small group of 5 students who I see for the 3rd-5th grade literature block each day. We have Ms Hill, a teacher assistant with us each day during this 90 minute time period. We are completing our reading assessments and will begin working with System 44 by Monday, September 17th, 2012.
Here is what the rotations are during our 90 min. time together in System 44.

Work on phonics by using magnetic tiles, Decodable Digest, System 44 workbook, and phonics games. |
| Computer | Using the System 44 Software |
| Books | Reading books that are a part of the System 44 program or just right books checked out from library or from our classroom library. |
| Read Aloud | A book that is read by an adult in the room to the students. The students are listening and making connections about the story to what they already know. This is when we may do some writing and research. We are currently reading Dear Mr. Henshaw. |
